After 7 years at bbd, the time has come for me to move on.
A lot of people are surprised to hear that I’ve been at one agency for that amount of time, but it’s actually not that uncommon for bbd and I am by no means the exception here. There are a number of long serving members who have found a unique and creative space to call their own and they will continue to create and deliver fantastic products and services long after I’m gone.
I came to Bright Blue Day from a smaller agency and was faced with two floors full of client services, creative and development. To say I was daunted was an understatement – pretty sure I cried the first week. Here were a bunch of people way more experienced than I was, working for some of the world’s largest brands. Where would I fit into this company? And was it a bad sign that my desk was placed right outside the loos? Who knows, only time would tell.
From there, I steadily worked my way up across a wide variety of clients and projects, met some lovely people, had some awesome do’s and shared a large chunk of my life events with them all. Through the years the clients and bbd team have changed, but the family feel and outlook to how we approach work and how we treat each other has always remained the same.
My decision to move on was not an easy one but as I start a new chapter, I’d like to thank everyone here at bbd for an experience I will never forget.
