After having a few months off due to being made redundant, I was pretty happy when I got the call to say I’d been offered the job at bbd. Having time off work is great to begin with, but the novelty soon wore off and I was more than ready to throw myself into a new fast paced environment as an account manager.

Why bbd? Well aside from them boasting an impressive client base and being experts in what they do, I was very drawn to their culture. They really care about their staff and clients which could be considered a rarity. Through my interview process, everyone I spoke to said the people at bbd were lovely, kind and hard – working – who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by people like this? You are a product of your surroundings, and I was very excited to be around like-minded people.

I was still nervous for my first day. What would everyone be like? What would I be doing? Would I make a good first impression? Those fears soon washed away when I walked in on my first day and got to my decorated desk, with sweets, card and a bottle of prosecco! Everyone was chatty and super helpful – I soon felt at ease.
The first week went by in a flash, soaking up all the information I could, meeting all the different teams, and seeing how bbd work. Of course a big highlight was going to the pub with everyone after work on Friday! I couldn’t believe how nice everyone was!

Fast forward a few weeks and I’m definitely settled into bbd life and loving it. The phrase ‘work hard, play hard’ definitely springs to mind. Building relationships with all my clients, problem solving and working with the whole team – all the things I enjoy about the account management world.

I’m very happy I came across that job advert, and we have vacancies right now. I can promise you this is a great place to work, and could be the perfect place for you! To find out more, follow the link.
