They say people come and go. But the truth is, no one really disappears. People never really leave; their roles in your life just change.
“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.”Mary Lou Cook
‘And having fun’… my god have I had some fun here at bbd towers!
Leaving blogs are your way of saying goodbye to your colleagues and the friends you have made on your bbd journey, but for me, this isn’t a goodbye. I have met some incredible people who I can call friends, two of which have become my closest friends, so for me, I’ll see ya round town, or in the pub. (Probably more likely in the pub).
Life is all about risk taking, and I truly believe bbd took a risk hiring me…
I joined as an Account Executive, and I am leaving as an Account Manager. Starting my new role as a Project Account Manager, and I cannot thank you enough, bbd. If you want any tips on progression, read my other blogs, I wrote a lot of them!
There is something about the people here at bbd, I can’t put my finger on it. Every single individual here will surprise and delight you. People always talk about the office culture that businesses want to create. Here at bbd they have mastered it.
One in particular … my line manager.
The support and knowledge I have gained from a single person is beyond me. The culture created at bbd gives your managers the confidence to make you feel cared for, supported and trusted with projects you may not feel confident managing, but that person knows what you can achieve. And that’s just the type of people bbd hire here, it has almost become part of the job description. ‘You must be wonderful’.
A little advice my manager gave me: ‘Only stupid people ask stupid questions, and no question is ever stupid’. Another classic Aidan quote…
In all seriousness though, Thank you, Aidan.
I hope you will all miss my inappropriate jokes, forcing you all to take shots with me and my constant distractions. I hope you miss me because bbd, I will miss every single one of you.
