“Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don’t recognise them.”
Ann Landers
When I sat down to write this blog, I started to reflect on my time at bbd. How cliché of me to say – what a journey. I started a little of a year ago, but it feels like a lifetime.
I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but agency life isn’t for the faint hearted, and you definitely need to be made of some different gravy to survive, succeed and achieve. Every day runs at a million miles per hour, you never know what it will bring. Some might say you need to be a little mad, which I guess we all are, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
bbd is no different. I’ve worked in other agencies before, however none are like bbd. We’re pretty top grade here, and it shows through our work, clients and the talent that pours from us on a daily basis. It’s hard work, but very rewarding at the same time.
The growth I’ve seen in myself from the challenges, the mistakes, the wins along the way is huge, and I couldn’t have done it without such a great team around me.
Why am I leaving? Well, I’m not just leaving bbd. I’m moving to the Lake District, the opposite end of the country, to start my next chapter (this is what happens when you have a northern boyfriend!).
I wonder what the next year holds in store.
