However, we in finance & admin take pride in getting it right, so you can focus on the more creative side of things. It’s a symbiotic relationship that helps get the most out of all of us, and that hopefully means we all appreciate one another for what we each bring to an organisation.

If everyone had to cover every part of the business process, we’d all probably be rather bad at things, or at least not have time to do them well, so we hope this will allow for a more focused, happy and more productive group of people.

ABOUT ME - PROFESSIONAL

I’ve been a qualified accountant for over 10 years and have worked in an agency environment before, doing an equivalent role. It was a little while ago, but it feels a little like returning to a fond memory in joining the team at Bright Blue Day; similar structure and culture, familiar goals and challenges, and similar kinds of people, which is a wonderful thing, and it’s great to see the ways things work at bbd.

ABOUT ME - PERSONALLY

With all this admin & finance going on, a fulfilling life outside of work is important, starting with social beers after work on a Friday, for example. For me, food, drink and social cooking and eating are a passion - in particular cooking anything and everything on a barbecue at home.

I also like to get out and about in the great outdoors, be that on foot, on a bike, or in a boat of some sort.

MY JOURNEY

Before joining bbd, I got to scratch the travel itch - one that had been building for a long time, but which had been put off by the pesky covid - by travelling twice to South America in the past year.

Whilst away, I got to travel around and see and do some exciting things, and more importantly - eat some fantastic food, and barbecues.

TODAY

It now feels good to be able to knuckle down and get stuck back into things again, and I look forward to working with the bbd team.
